Teachers need encouragement, especially with the heavy flow of test papers, indiscipline, bullying and poor student performance. As a teacher, I feel a ray of hope, love and joy as I read Kathy S.A Alexis books. We need to remember the divine spirit /Lord who is there at every moment protecting us. Also in every soul of a teacher is an element of Christ’s very own nature - hope, faith, guidance and love. Teachers know when students’ mood has turned for the worst. Reading “Release the Fire. ” allows teachers to wear a great level of forgiveness on their sleeves. Kathy...a big THANK YOU. Your words of wisdom through the almighty Father. Lord Jesus inspires others to live their lives fully. ”alive”
Thanks for reminding us on page 98. (“God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind”)
Kathy thanks for being an inspiration to others. Your books are awesome. May God continue to guide you richly as you progress in the spiritual path.
The author of “Release The Fire Within...” Kathy S.A Alexis designs her book with a great level of intelligence and innovation to capture the hearts of students and teachers through inspirational proverbs, hymns, stories and prayers. This book integrates into the curriculum, making it extremely meaningful for schools, because the native language for students is “stories “. Stories help children grapple with deep spiritual matters. They explore stories through play/ drama. Teachers are then able to catch a glimpse of their inner souls, which they are able to portray using verses, quotes, hymns from the book. In modern societies, children do not appreciate when parents preach to them. This book therefore allows growth and autonomous learning among students. Through spiritual stories, students enjoy acting-out various segments of them, allowing personal spiritual growth and enjoyment. Teachers and parents let students find their place in the stories, the place it connects to their lives and spirit soul.
Most books on spirituality follow the same pattern: introduce the message, prove it from Scripture and give tips for how to do it. But, Release the Fire does more than that: It connects the different components of the Bible to all aspects of life. With plenty of examples, stories and illustrations, Release the Fire will inspire you to nourish your life with discipline, enjoy the fruit of godliness and have a hand in building the community.
Kathy Alexis delivers the Lord’s message in a direct, engaging, accessible style with heavily loaded biblical illustrations and scriptural references. No theological or any English dictionary is needed, when reading her masterpiece.
Release the Fire doesn’t read like a “how-to” manual. The tone is countrified, never harsh and at times, the reading feels like you are in the physical presence of Kathy Alexis. The book is presented with a considerable amount of intellectual integrity and the author maintains her gracious and compassionate nature throughout this book.
The book helpfully guides the reader in a biblical understanding of how to live life. It clearly dispels all misconception even when it comes to the specific listing of the 66 separate books, which make up the ONE BIBLE. Sometimes non-Christians think that there are various Bibles, but, after reading Release the Fire, all doubts are cleared.
This is a serious book with touching stories. The author is extremely knowledgeable, especially with her diction and appropriate handpicked Bible quotations. Such approach makes it easy for children especially teenagers, to differentiate right from wrong in such a challenging time they are living in. I have witnessed the positive changes in the lives of teenagers who were able to read, Release the Fire. It is truly an inspirational and life changing book.
